1st day :

We will be waiting for you upon your arrival at Chiangmai airport to welcome you and transport you by minibus to your nature resort north of Chiang Mai.

After your installation and the presentation of the trip, and delivery of your film negatives which you will have previously ordered.

Visit to the darkroom at Villa du Lac followed by your first photo shoots in the evening by a magnificent lake at the end of the day. Welcome drink included!

Dinner in a local restaurant by the lake.

2nd day :

Visit Chiang Mai's main market in the morning. This market offers countless opportunities for capturing scenes of daily life and street photography.This market also contains two highly revered and very colorful Chinese temples.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will set off for some particularly important Buddhist temples chosen for their secret beauty and style which will allow for the creation of unique and carefully selected images.

We will spend the afternoon and the end of the day in this ancient Buddhist atmosphere that has made the ancient temples of Chiang Mai famous.

Dinner in a very famous street food market whose reputation extends throughout the country.

3rd day :

We will take advantage of the early morning to visit a small, secret garden filled with Khmer statues. This place will allow us to create unique compositions based on water, nature, and the majesty of these ancient statues of Angkorian Khmer art.

We will then visit a unique market, the Buddha amulet market, which takes place only once a week and where merchants, antique dealers, Buddhist monks, and specialists come to buy and trade Buddhist amulets, which, in Thai belief, possess secret powers. Scenes of daily life and street photography, close-up reportage—everything will be possible this morning to capture the atmosphere of this unique place.

After our lunch in a local restaurant, we will head towards an iconic temple, the White Elephant Temple, located on a mountaintop; it will be an opportunity for unique photo opportunities, portraits and scenes of devotion.

Return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon for dinner at a local restaurant.

4th day :

Departure in the morning in our private air-conditioned minibus towards the far North.

Heading towards the mountain village of Chiang Dao.

A temple with 500 steps in the middle of the jungle, a sacred cave, Lahu tribes and sublime landscapes will be there.

Night in a charming resort and evening meal in a typical local restaurant.

5th day :

Departure in the morning after breakfast and drive to Khun Chae Natural Park.

Temple, lake and stop at hot springs on our way to Phayao.

We will stop to visit a small park where there are women from the Long Neck and Yao tribes of Burma where we can try to take portraits.

Arrived in Phayao in the late afternoon.

Overnight stay in a resort and meal in a local restaurant.

6th day :

Visit to the shores of Phayao Lake and local market.

Fishermen, boats and many scenes of daily life will be there.

Next, we'll depart for a small village in the countryside where you can visit and take photos of the typical life of the inhabitants of Northern Thailand. We'll visit the village's primary school and spend the afternoon experiencing life as a young Thai schoolchild in the north of the country!

Nature, temples, and beautiful landscapes will be there.

7th day :

Departure in the morning for our return to Chiang Mai, where we will stop along the way at famous hot springs where you can bathe in private cabins with views of nature to recover from your journey.

Arrival and rest in a local resort in the countryside and meal in a local restaurant.

8th day :

Departure in the morning for Chiang Mai and visit to some particularly photogenic temples.

Then after our meal, a traditional Thai massage session will be on the program.

In the afternoon, we will go to the very famous Sunday market where artisans, musicians and artists come from all over the province for this event.

This will be an opportunity to capture scenes of daily life and street photography in exceptional conditions.

Night in a small, charming hotel in Chiang Mai.

9th day :

We will start to get into the Loi Krathong spirit, the festival of lights, by looking for places and markets where we can start to experience the rise of the event with the locals.

We will find time to visit a Thai Boxing training club, for unforgettable close-up shots of the boxers, thanks to our local guide.

10th day :

The Loy Krathong festival is one of the grandest and most photogenic in Asia. According to tradition, all families must make a small sacred raft, on which they place candles, then after praying, they release it onto the water to thank the water that brings life.

Chiangmai is world-famous for the release of traditional lanterns which are sent into the sky on Loi Krathong night, for good luck.

 

These festivities also feature unique traditional parades and dances.

Thanks to our local presence, we will be able to take you to the most remarkable places to capture exceptional photos of these ceremonies.

11th to 13th day :

Work and development and printing of your photos at the Villa du Lac laboratory.

Opportunities for walks and photography by the lake, traditional Thai massages and bathing in the natural hot springs around the lake villa. 

A farewell dinner is also included!

14th day :

Free start to the day and transfer to the airport for your return home.
