1st day :
Upon arrival at Chiang Mai airport, a private vehicle will pick you up and take you to Phayao, approximately a 3-hour drive away.
A stop halfway through the journey to eat and visit a restaurant that also grows all the vegetables it serves. A short stroll to aid digestion and first impressions of northern Thailand.
Upon arrival in the village, settle into your family home, then enjoy a free afternoon with a short stroll to the market to perhaps buy ingredients for the evening meal. An optional walk through the rice paddies to watch the sunset is also available.
2nd day :
Waking up to the roosters' crow, then departing in the morning for the village school with which we have a close relationship. Activities with the school children, immersing ourselves in the life of a young Thai schoolboy in northern Thailand. Lunch at the school.
In the afternoon, we'll relax at home and then arrange for traditional Thai massage therapists to come to our house, allowing us to experience this ancient art during a 1-2 hour treatment. Later, to end the day, we'll drive to the magnificent Nagga Temple, a 10-minute drive away, to watch the sunset and enjoy breathtaking views of the valley.
Dinner at home.
3rd day :
Departure in the morning for the nearby town of Phayao. A short stroll along the lake and a visit to the submerged temple, accessible only by boat. Lunch by the lake in a relaxed, seaside atmosphere with views of the surrounding mountains. Free time in town followed by visits to two of the city's iconic temples. One of them overlooks the town and is therefore ideal for the end of the day and sunset.
Dinner in a restaurant in the middle of the fields on the way back, warm local atmosphere in small wooden bungalows with nets over the water.
4th day :
Hike with picnic around the village. Natural water reserve with swimming opportunities, walk through the surrounding plantations and views of the valley from the hilltops.
Dinner at a restaurant on the shores of Phayao Lake, then a final night at home.
